Water quality data measured at the UMass Dartmouth pier in Clark’s Cove, Buzzards Bay
Following parameters are currently being measured:
temperature, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, chlorophyll a fluorescence, pH, turbidity (YSI Exo2 sonde).
This is a very recently started project that is under development. Blue Economy Initiative
New! We are now also collecting real-time data on tryptophan – a wastewater indicator for coliform bacteria, as well as nitrate (SUNA.V2).
Tryptophan data over 17-22 Oct, 2025 at the SMAST pier. The recent peak in Tryptophan – indicator of fecal coliforms, coincided with a recent rain event. 8:30 am on Oct 20 is indicated on the graph.
